The History Channel?

There is one thing you need to understand. I have, in the past, been a big fan of the History Channel, but recently I have seen nothing but junk from the formerly respectable channel. Now there is no getting around the fact that a year or two ago THC was at times, very repetitive. As interesting as WWII is, 12 hours of it was bad, especially when that repeated every day. Yet at least at that time there were shows that actually had to do with history. Recently all I have seen is Discovery Channel type shows, reality shows, techie shows, and shows that have absolutely nothing to do with history. The only things that could possibly qualify as history have been about the Big Bang and Evolution. But not even that can be truly called history. Scientific theories are hardly history, never mind the theory part, just the science part. Another example is the poorly designed and almost completely theoretical "dinosaur battles" that I have seen airing a few times. All this show seems to include is several middle aged scientists arguing which dinosaur is better, reminiscent of the 2nd grade. Is there anyone that understands what I am getting at? What do Ice Road Truckers have to do with history? Where's the history? If we want science, we'll watch the Discovery Channel. If we want to watch two dinosaurs fight to the death, then we'll watch Jurassic Park. If we want to watch extreme videos then we'll watch some empty reality TV show. But the HISTORY Channel, should be about HISTORY. whew....
